35 Arrested in Major Drug Bust in Winston-Salem, Lexington
ALE officials arrested 35 people in a major drug trafficking bust at three topless strip clubs and two residences in Winston-Salem and Lexington.
The major drug trafficking network was shut down during a special investigation that ended in arrests on March 25 by special agents with the Division of Alcohol Law Enforcement.
ALE agents, with the assistance of the Winston-Salem Police Department, worked more than six months obtaining enough information and evidence at the following locations in Winston-Salem: Platinum Diamonds, 800 Peters Creek Parkway; The Papermoon Gentelmen's Club, 1007 Salisbury Ridge Road; Sugar Bares VIP Lounge, 1720 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive and a residence on 1430 N. Cameron Ave.; and at a residence, 119 Cyndi Lane, Lexington.
Agents seized cocaine, MDMA ecstasy, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone, marijuana and psilocybin mushrooms along with drug paraphernalia and more than $5,000 in cash.
A total of 82 charges were brought against those arrested, 66 of which are felony drug offenses. Arrest warrants for five people are still outstanding for selling cocaine, solicitation for prostitution and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
