WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Winston-Salem police said they responded reports of suspected child abuse at the Wake Forest Baptist Medical.Officers said a child was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.Preliminary investigation revealed that the child was suffering from severe injuries as a result of head trauma.The child was reportedly in critical condition.Officers said the investigation is still ongoing.
