Woman Visiting Prison Farm Arrested On Drug Charges

Thomasville Woman Arrested At Dan River Work Farm

A woman who was at the Dan River Work Farm was arrested Sunday after deputies said they found cocaine and other drug paraphernalia in her car.Deputies said Tuesday that Patty Sue McClure, 45, of Thomasville, was either attempting to visit a prisoner or was taking someone to visit a prisoner.Deputies said they searched the vehicle and found a green bag containing a spoon with a white substance and a cigarette wrapper, which later tested positive for cocaine, a pill bottle, 17 syringes, cotton swabs and a lighter.McClure was charged with possession of controlled substance at a prison facility, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of cocaine and driving without a license. Deputies said she was also wanted in Davidson County on charges of motor vehicle theft and larceny.She was being held in the Caswell County Jail on a $10,000 bond.Deputies said she had no contact with any prisoner.
