WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Thomasville police are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a Winston-Salem woman was found lying in the roadway along Church Street Monday morning.Police said Tanya Lavaye Morris, 25, was found at about 12:20 a.m. Police said she had been out with friends and was crossing the street at her boyfriend's house on Church Street.Morriss was taken to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, where police said she underwent surgery on Monday morning. Hospital officials said she is in serious condition.Police said they are looking for a light-colored four-door car with front and side mirror damage.Anyone with information is asked to call Crimestoppers at 336-476-8477.
