The Barbecue Festival in Lexington won two 2011 Stars of the Carolinas awards at a recent Carolina Showfest 2011 Conference in Greenville, S.C.
The conference is a joint meeting of the N.C. Association of Festivals and Events and the S.C. Festival and Event Association, which was attended by more than 300 festival and event planners and supporting members in the Carolinas.
The Barbecue Festival won for best event website and best press kit in the category of large festivals/events.
