Person Ejected From Vehicle In 311 Crash

Motorists Warned Of Icy Conditions

One person was ejected from a car in a crash that happened Friday at 5:45 a.m. on Highway 311 South near the interchange with Interstate 40.The nature of the person's injuries wasn't immediately known, but police said there were very serious injuries reported.Police said the eastbound and westbound ramps onto 311 were blocked, but they had been reopened by 9 a.m.There was no immediate word on what caused the crash, but motorists were warned of possible ice spots as sleet and freezing rain fell in some areas of the Triad.
